Antique Sterling Silver Propelling Pencil 1902

This is an antique solid silver pencil.
Usually, pencils from this era are not always marked; this is marked Birmingham 1902.
The pencil is hexagonal and decorated with beautiful hand-cut foil designs, which are cut and shiny on the outside.
It has a simple raised stepped band at the bottom and a detachable screw taper end with foliate decoration, and an inset red gemstone seal at the end.

It is an excellent collector's item.

Hallmarks: Birmingham mark, letter "C"-1902

It measures about 7.7cm closed x 10cm open.

It is in excellent condition for its age.
It will need a good polishing. It comes in the original conditions as found.
