Antique Brass and Mother Of Pearl Watch Stand Holder

This is a late 19th-century French gilt-mounted mother-of-pearl 'palais royale' pocket watch holder, circa 1880.
It is egg-shaped, sits on a round base, and has a release button that reveals an interior fitted with a watch holder and a beautiful little basket for holding small items.
Just so you know, the watch in the pictures is not included.

It measures about 14cm H x 7.4cm in diameter

Total Weight: 319 grams.

It is in excellent condition for its age.
It will need a good polishing. It comes in the original conditions as found.
