Victorian Oversize Pencil A.H. Woodward Patent

This example of an antique chatelaine pencil is exceptionally well-engineered.
A. H. Woodward, registered as a manufacturer of pens and pencils from 1894 to 1896, produced high-quality products at the I.X.L. factory in Birmingham, the heart of the English pen industry.

It measures about 5cm closed and 12.2cm open.

It is in excellent condition for its age.
It will need a good polishing. It comes in the original conditions as found.
